Boeing Names New Top Sales Executive

Boeing

Global aerospace power Boeing has named a new top executive for sales and marketing.

The carrier has appointed Ihssane Mounir as its new vice president of sales and marketing for commercial airplanes, succeeding John Wojick, who is retiring after 36 years at Boeing.

Mounir is responsible for sales and marketing of all commercial airplanes and related service to airlines (and leasing customers) worldwide, the company said, with duties including sales strategy, operations and customer relationships.

“Ihssane is a seasoned sales leader with in-depth knowledge of Boeing customers worldwide,” said the company’s Commercial Airplanes President and CEO Ray Conner. “His extensive knowledge of our products and services puts him in the best position to help our customers address their fleet and operational needs and be successful in today’s competitive environment.”

The vast majority of planes that fly to the Caribbean from the United States are Boeing aircraft.

Mounir has held a number of positions within the company’s sales organization, most recently serving as the company’s vice president of sales for Northeast Asia. He has also previously served as vice president of sales for Latin America, Africa and the Caribbean.
