By: Caribbean Journal Staff - September 29, 2016

Eleuthera’s French Leave Resort has named a new executive chef.

The boutique Bahamian property has appointed Joshua Huyder as its new top chef. Huyder will oversee the resort’s 1648 Bar & Grille restaurant, managing all aspects from culinary staff to food and beverage standards.

The Canadian-born chef comes to the hotel after most recently serving as executive chef at the Badali Bar + Cucina in Toronto.

He has also held culinary positions at eateries including The Plunge in Regent Palms Turks and Caicos, Bow Valley Grill Restaurant in Alberta, Jump Restaurant in Toronto and Newport Room in Bermuda, among others.
