Dominican Wings to Launching More Flights to DR

The Dominican Republic’s airlines are expanding quickly.

Startup airline Dominican Wings will be launching new weekly flights from Miami to both Punta Cana and Santo Domingo beginning Sept. 29, Miami International Airport announced.

This represents the carrier’s first US service.

The carrier, which is a subsidiary of Lithuanian firm Avion Express, operates flights on Airbus A320 aircraft.

The news follows the announce of planned Santo Domingo flights by fellow Dominican carrier Pawa beginning in November.
