United Expanding Nonstop Flights to St Kitts

St Kitts United

United Airlines is expanding its nonstop flights to St Kitts, the country’s tourist board announced.

The carrier will be starting its Newark-St Kitts service earlier in the year and flying throughout the winter, summer and fall in 2017.

That will mean a doubling of the number of flights over the course of the year.

The expanded service will begin Nov. 19.

“I am very pleased that we will be receiving additional flights from United Airlines,” said the Hon. Lindsay F.P. Grant, Minister of Tourism, International Trade, Industry & Commerce. “The extension of United’s service will significantly increase capacity into the Federation from the New York metro area, a primary market for visitors to St. Kitts.”

United will operate its weekly Saturday service on Boeing 737-800 aircraft with capacity from 154 to 166 seats.

It’s the latest expansion for United, which has been steadily adding new routes and schedules in its wider Caribbean network in the last year.
