A New Luxury Hotel in Martinique: French Coco

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - July 28, 2016

Martinique, one of the Caribbean’s hottest destinations, has another brand-new hotel.

Following the debut of the new boutique Hotel Simon in Fort-de-France earlier this year, another new property has opened its doors in Martinique: French Coco.

The property is located in the beach town of Tartane, with a total of 17 suites, 16 of which come with their own private pools.

The suites come in four categories, ranging from a 430-suite “Ti Suite” to a 645-square-foot “Presqu’ile” suite.

The property also has a restaurant led by Martinican Chef Nathanaël Ducteil, a onetime apprentice of Alain Ducasse.

“It’s always wonderful to welcome a new hotel, but for us in Martinique French Coco is extra special,” said Muriel Wiltord, Director Americas for the Martinique Promotion Bureau. “French Coco promises to connect guests directly with our local culture and daily life in Tartane, delivering experiential travel with a luxury twist and French-Creole savoir faire.”

Rates for the new property start at around $330 per night based on double occupancy through Nov. 30, according to the property.

The hotel is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World
