Unique Vacations Names New CEO

Unique Vacations Group, the worldwide representative for Sandals Resorts International’s brands, has named a new chief executive officer.

The company has appointed Tammy Gonzalez as its new CEO, with an expanded portfolio of responsibility for all divisions of Unique Vacations Group.

“I have worked alongside Tammy Gonzalez for over three decades.  Her sound counsel, leadership and dedication to the vision of our brands, have made her invaluable to our ongoing success,” said Gordon “Butch” Stewart, chairman of Sandals Resorts International.  “She’s worked tirelessly behind-the-scenes and has been integral in the growth of our brands.  I look forward to working with her and the entire Unique Vacations team to continue our momentum forward.”

Gonzalez joined the company in 1985, most recently serving as executive vice president.

“Tammy has built an organization that thrives on relationship-building, both internally and externally,” said Adam Stewart, CEO of Sandals Resorts International. “Under her guidance, Unique Vacations has proven to be critical to driving the demand that has ultimately laid the groundwork for our expansion plans.  It’s been an enduring partnership because it works.”

The company also announced that Andy Blanco had been named chief financial officer.
