New Airport Hotel Coming to Santo Domingo

Another new hotel is coming to one of the Caribbean’s hotel development hubs: the Dominican Republic.

Hilton Worldwide has broken ground on a new Hampton by Hilton Las Americas hotel near the Las Americas International Airport in Santo Domingo.

The $7 million project will operate under the management of Dominican Development.

The new hotel will have a total of 117 rooms spread across five buildings.

Officials said the new project would be directed to meet the passenger flow of those traveling abroad or returning to the country through Santo Domingo’s airport.

The project is slated to debut next year.
