Canadian air carrier WestJet is continuing to see its traffic surge, according to the company’s latest traffic results.

The company reported 1.931 billion revenue passenger miles in May 2016, up 14.4 percent compared to the same period in 2015.

That was joined by an 8.4 percent increase in available seat miles, with 2.371 billion compared to 2.187 billion in May 2015.

Load factor stood at 81.4 percent in May, a 4.2-percentage-point increase compared to May 2015.

“We are very pleased with our continued strong traffic growth as we flew a record 1.8 million guests for the month of May and ushered in a new chapter in the History of WestJet with the launch of our wide-body transatlantic service to London,” said WestJet President and CEO Gregg Saretsky. “I want to thank our more than 11,000 WestJetters for continuing to deliver our brand of friendly caring service each and every day.”
