IHG Keeps Expanding in Mexico

InterContinental Hotels Group is continuing its rapid expansion in Mexico.

The company has announced the addition of another hotel to its Mexican portfolio: the new-build Staybridge Suites San Luis Potosi hotel.

The first Staybridge Suites in the city, the 97-suite property is the sixth for the brand in Mexico with other hotels in Chihuahua, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Puebla and Queretaro.

“We are delighted to bring the Staybridge Suites brand’s unique upscale extended stay accommodations to San Luis Potosi,” said Gerardo Murray, Vice President, Brands and Marketing, Mexico, Latin America & the Caribbean. “The brand is designed to create a warm and social environment for travelers on the road for weeks or months at a time and this new hotel will be ideal for travelers looking for spacious suites and home-like amenities in this great City, known for its industrial developments and it´s world famous beauty and historical heritage.”

The property is located near the Convention Center in San Luis Potosi.

It includes a mix of studio and one and two-bedroom suites, with daily breakfast, 24-hour business and fitness facilities, an outdoor swimming pool, an outdoor living room with a firepit and complimentary shuttle service within a 5km radius around the hotel.

The property is owned and managed by Operadora Vea Chapultepec SA de CV, franchised by an affiliate of IHG.

IHG’s family of brands operate in nearly 100 countries and territories.
