JetBlue, the Caribbean’s fastest-growing airline, saw a surge in overall traffic in its network last month.

The carrier reported 3.84 billion revenue passenger miles, a 10.7 percent increase compared to May 2015.

That was accompanied by a capacity increase of 12.1 percent.

Load factor fell, however, to 84.6 percent, a decrease of 1.1 percentage points compared to the same period last year.

Revenue per available seat mile also decreased, with a 7 percent reduction.

The company said it expected year-over-year available seat mile growth to be between 8 and 9.5 percent in 2016.
