This Caribbean Hotel Now Has Wellness Concierges

The typical hotel concierge can get you theater tickets; score reservations at the hottest restaurant; and send your pants out to be pressed. But can they devise a comprehensive wellness program that includes strength training and spa treatments?

At Antigua’s Curtain Bluff, they can.

The venerable all-inclusive beach resort has just introduced a team of specialized wellness concierges, responsible for designing customized programs guaranteed to restore mind and body (in case lazing on the hotel’s pair of beaches isn’t enough).

Prior to arrival, guests submit a form outlining their wellness objectives and preferences, and on their first day in house they meet with the concierge to map out a game plan based on their goals and Curtain Bluff’s spa and sporting activities.

The complimentary program may include power walks; tennis games and/or instruction; Pilates; yoga; aqua aerobics; lap swimming/snorkeling, kayaking; basketball; squash, stand-up paddleboarding; and dance classes. Personal training and a full range of spa treatments are available at an added cost. And because “abs are made in the kitchen,” healthy options are available at every meal.

Now if only the concierges could actually exercise for you …
