Bonaire’s Harbour Village Beach Club has named a new chef de cuisine.

The beachfront resort has appointed Sebastiaan Vink to the role, in which he will manage all culinary operations for the property and its signature restaurant, La Balandra.

A native of the Netherlands, Vink comes to the property after serving as chef de cuisine at a number of European hotels including the Hotel Splendid in Le Grau du Roi, France, Attico in Javea, Spain and Villa Da Vinci in Toulouse, France.

La Balandra’s seafood experience includes fish delivered to the restaurant dock each day by local fishermen, with Vink selecting items right off the boat.

“With an intimate knowledge in cuisines across the Mediterranean, Europe and Asia, Chef Sebastiaan Vink’s innovative cooking style expertly combines classic and modern-day cuisine with international flair,” said Frank J. Gonzalez, Managing Director of Harbour Village Beach Club. “His remarkable culinary talent paired with our property’s signature views and ambiance will completely transcend the dining experience.”
