Canadian air carrier WestJet continues to show strong growth.
The company reported 1.93 billion revenue passenger miles in April, a 5.5 percent increase over April 2015.
That was accompanied by a 0.4 percent increase in load factor to 80.6 percent.
For the year, revenue passenger miles are up 7.1 percent compared to the first four months of 2015.
“We are pleased with our continued strong traffic growth as a record number of guests chose to fly with us in April,” said WestJet President and CEO Gregg Saretsky. “My thanks go out to our more than 11,000 WestJetters for continuing to provide our guests with a remarkable experience as we look forward to launching our inaugural service to London Gatwick later this week.”
