By the Caribbean Journal staff

There are now even more ways to get to the Dominican Republic’s tourism corner of Puerto Plata.

US carrier JetBlue Airways has announced the addition of new weekly flights from New York City’s John F Kennedy International Airport to Puerto Plata’s Gregorio Luperon International Airport.

The new flights will run from June to September 2016.

They were announced at the recent DATE Dominican Annual Tourism Exchange conference in Punta Cana, the country’s largest travel and tourism conference.

JetBlue is the largest airline serving the Dominican Republic, operating between 20 and 35 flights every day to the country, with around 2.5 million passengers annually to the destination.
