One of the world’s leading cruise conferences is coming to Puerto Rico.

The Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association Cruise Conference and Trade Show will take place in Puerto Rico on Sept. 26-30, with more than 1,000 participants expected to show.

“The cruise line industry has positively impacted Puerto Rico’s tourism scene, as well as the Island’s economy throughout the last few years,” said Ingrid I. Rivera Rocafort, Executive Director of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company. “We are excited to be hosting the FCCA conference, and for all representatives of the 19 cruise lines to see what Puerto Rico can offer as a popular tourist destination.”

San Juan has grown into one of the Caribbean’s top cruise hubs, with a major recent project to expand its cruise port to accommodate larger ships like Royal Caribbean’s Quantum of the Seas.

“The Port Authority has high expectations with the FCCA conference, and is thrilled to have Puerto Rico as its host. This effort works to strengthen the development of the cruise line industry in San Juan,” said Ingrid C. Colberg Rodríguez, Executive Director of the Puerto Rico Port Authority.
