Bahamian national carrier Bahamasair has officially announced the launch of its new service to and from Florida.

Beginning June 19, Bahamasair will be launching new nonstop service between Grand Bahama and Orlando.

The service will be operated on the company’s new ATR 72 70-seat aircraft, which will also include new in-flight catering services.

“This is another step in our route expansion program geared to providing critical airlift to our major islands, grow our revenue and move us closer to becoming a viable and sustainable airline,” said Bahamasair Director of Sales and Marketing Frederick Donathan.
