Dominican Republic Readies for DATE Conference

PUNTA CANA — The Dominican Republic is set to launch its annual DATE conference, the largest tourism conference in the Caribbean’s largest tourism destination.

This year’s DATE, or Dominican Annual Tourism Exchange, begins April 19 and lasts through April 21.

The exchange was created to bring together international wholesalers, tour operators, incentive groups, airlines and charter operators with tourism suppliers.

The event brings together buyers and more than 150 different suppliers of Dominican tourism products and services.

This year’s conference is being hosted at the Paradisus Palma Real resort in the major tourism hub of Punta Cana.
