Caribbean Airlines Raises Second Bag Fee

By: - March 29th, 2016

Caribbean Airlines will introduce a new rate of $30 for passengers’ second checked bag, beginning May 1.

All passengers’ first checked piece of luggage will continue to fly free, with maximum weight of 50 pounds allowed for each bag, in what’s become a unique perk in the Caribbean travel industry.

The current baggage rate of $25 will be honored on all tickets purchased up to March 31.

Passengers flying business class, as well as those enrolled in Caribbean Miles and 7th Heaven Rewards Loyalty programs who have earned silver, gold or executive status, and those purchasing flexible economy fares, will be exempt from the fee for their second checked bag.
