Condor Launching New Caribbean Flights

Germany’s Condor Airlines is launching service between Munich and the island of Tobago.

The flights, which will launch in November, will fly directly to Tobago’s ANR Robinson International Airport before heading to Barbados on its return to Munich.

Condor, which has been increasing its network in the Caribbean, will operate the flights on a Boeing 767-300 plane accommodating 259 passengers.

The new flights will bring a total of 12,950 additional seats to Tobago in the tourist season.

“This is an important development for us because the DOTT (Division of Tourism and Transportation) has been working hard to increase international arrivals and an important part of that is having direct flights between our source markets and the destination,” said Secretary of Tourism and Transportation, Assemblyman Tracy Davidson-Celestine.

Tobago has long been a popular destination for German tourists.

According to Davidson-Celestine, marketing the new flight will cost the Tobago House of Assembly around $335,720 USD.
