JetBlue Traffic is Surging

JetBlue’s traffic continues to surge.

The carrier, which has been expanding heavily in the Caribbean region in the last few years, reported a total of 3.45 billion revenue passenger miles last month, a 19.1 percent increase from February 2015.

The carrier also reported a 19.6 percent increase in available seat miles to 4.15 billion, while load factor dropped 0.4 percentage points to 83.1 percent last month.

The New York City-based airline also reported 25,677 departures, a 15.1 percent increase over the same period last year, with an average stage length of about 1,119 miles.

JetBlue which most recently announced expansion of its flights to Nassau, is also planning to add a significant amount of flights to Cuba, the Cuba Journal reported.
