The leading tourism conference in the Dominican Republic is coming to the Paradisus Palma Real Convention Center in Punta Cana.

This year’s Dominican Annual Tourism Exchange will mark its 17th edition from April 19-21.

The conference, which first launched in 2000, has become the most important travel trade show in the country.

“It is ‘one-stop shopping’ for international buyers to meet with the country’s key suppliers in a very organized and effective manner through pre-scheduled appointments during a 2-day period,” said Thelma Martinez, marketing director for Asonahores, the country’s hotel and tourism association. “DATE 2016 is very special to us.”

The conference will be focused in the 18,000-square-foot new convention center at the Paradisus Palma Real.
