Need another reason to visit Puerto Rico’s Dorado Beach, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve? The posh 1,400-acre retreat on the former Laurance Rockefeller estate is offering several of them with a new lineup of holistic treatments at its award-winning Spa Botánico.

Menu highlights include therapies that combine coconut oil, shea butter and indigenous ingredients such as coffee, bay leaves and lemongrass.

For women, the spa recommends the moisturizing Coffee & Clove and Sweet Lime & Lemongrass scrubs, designed to uplift the spirit and soothe the skin. For men, new treatment options include the detoxifying Tobacco & Nutmeg and healing Spiced Bay & Coconut scrubs.

Set in a pineapple grove, the five-acre Dorado Beach sanctuary embraces its natural surroundings as an essential component of the spa experience.

Clients enter the spa through an “apothecary portal” filled with local botanicals, while a lush herb garden serves as a fitting backdrop, yielding ingredients used in treatments and the spa’s own welcome teas and fruit infusions. Spa Botánico also features a “purification garden” with plunge pools, outdoor showers, and a steam room.
