Regional Airline Winair Eliminates Fuel Charges

By: - March 2nd, 2016

Another Caribbean carrier is cutting its prices.

St Maarten-based Winair has announced the elimination of all fuel charges on its flights, a move that became effective this week.

Winair had previously lowered its fuel charges six months ago, given the existence of lower fuel prices.

“With the current fuel prices Winair will no longer be required to collect fuel surcharges to cover these additional costs,” the company said in a statement. “This will reduce costs for our customers as they will no longer incur these additional costs.”

Regional air carrier announced in January that it, too, would be removing fuel surcharges, a move that also took effect at the beginning of March.
