Shaggy to Headline Tobago Jazz Experience

More big names

Grammy award winners Maxwell and Shaggy have been added to the 2016 cast for the annual Tobago Jazz Experience.

The duo will join Lauryn Hill, J. Cole, Arthuro Tappin and Band, Etienne Charles, Third World, and Roy Cape featuring Blaxx, among a host of other local and regional singers at the fesitval.

Maxwell is famous for classics such as “Sumthin’ Sumthin’,” “Ascension (Don’t Ever Wonder)” and “Lifetime,” as well as a cover of Kate Bush’s “This Woman’s Work.”

In 2010, he won two Grammy Awards for R&B album of the year, “BLACKSummers’Night,” and best R&B vocal performance with the single “Pretty Wings.”

Shaggy is famous for songs like “Oh Carolina,” “Boombastic,” “It Wasn’t Me” and “Angel.”

In 1996 he won a Grammy for best Reggae Album, and has since had five Grammy nominations.

The Tobago Jazz Experience will take place from April 16 to 24.
