US Virgin Islands Sees Strong Stayover Tourism Growth

The US Virgin Islands had a solid year for tourism arrivals in 2015, according to the latest numbers released by the Caribbean Tourism Organization.

The US territory received 769,058 stayover tourists in 2015, a 5.3 percent improvement from 2014.

The USVI saw a particularly strong winter season, with a 6.3 percent improvement over the previous year, along with a 4.6 percent improvement over the summer season.

September was the territory’s strongest month, with a 9.9 percent improvement over the previous year.
