Guadeloupe, Antigua, Dominica Lightly Shaken By Earthquake

The Guadeloupe archipelago was lightly shaken by a 4.9-magnitude earthquake on Sunday, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The quake, which measured 4.9 on the Richter scale, struck at around 12:42 PM local time, at a depth of 119 kilometres.

Its epicentre was about 4 kilometres southwest of Capesterre and about 24 kilometres south-southwest of Gosier.

It was felt as far north as Antigua, and as far south as Dominica.

There was no damage and no injuries resulting from the quake.
