You’ve probably heard that Antigua’s V.C. Bird International Airport got a huge makeover this summer, with a fancy new terminal featuring 14 departure gates, and four jet bridges. But you might not have heard about Gingerlily.

Easy to miss at the very end of the concourse near Gate 1, this trove of travel fashion is worth the walk, bringing trends to the traveling public with a kaleidoscopic Caribbean-cool edit of men’s and women’s resort wear and accessories. Featuring brands such as BCBG, Star Mela and T Bags Los Angeles, it’s a go-to for stylish travelers in search of pieces that combine comfort, color and a casual gypset vibe.

Owned by Jamaican Niki Feilles and her mother Liz, the boutique is named for the tropical flower Feilles’ grandparents used to cultivate and export to Holland when she was a child. “To me the pink gingerlily epitomizes an elegant woman who stands well in her clothes,” says Feilles, “and our clothes are selected with wisdom and heart to give women of all ages that kind of poise.”

Inventory includes plenty of flowy caftans, maxi dresses and stretch pants, along with sharp polos, crisp button-downs and loafers for men. We particularly liked the Antigua T-shirts, featuring the island’s name in reverse, that offer a cool alternative to the traditional souvenir T.

Swing by on your way out (the boutique is open from 9am to 7pm daily) or shop their sister store at Heritage Quay in St John’s during your stay.
