It’s one of the great wonders of St Vincent and the Grenadines, but you may not have heard of it: the towering pinnacle called Fort Duvernette off Young Island.
The rock is a 195-foot-high volcanic “plug” made of basalt.
While it’s of course no longer a working fort, there are several batteries extant, and you can hike the 255 steps to the peak.
The locals call it “Rock Fort.”
