Haiti, Copa Airlines Talk Travel Packages

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - November 29, 2015

Haiti Tourism Minister Stephanie Villedrouin recently held a working meeting with officials from Panama-based Copa Airlines.

The meeting this week focused on the potential increase of flights between Haiti and Panama and on the proposed creation of tourism packages in the country.

The latter would likely focus on the soon-to-open Royal Decameron Indigo Beach Resort, an all-inclusive set to open next month on Haiti’s Cote des Arcadins.

The hotel would seem to be a natural fit for Copa’s vacation arm given the Decameron brand’s strong brand awareness in the Central American market.

Copa Airlines currently operates direct flights between Panama City and Port-au-Prince.

The flight takes about two and a half hours.
