Leaders from around the Eastern Caribbean met this week in Roseau for the 62nd meeting of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States Authority.

The OECS were informed of “positive changes” projected for the sub-region’s states, according to OECS Director General Didacus Jules.

Speaking on Wednesday, St Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris pledged his country’s “continued firm support for regional integration,” encouraging the region to work towards a “common voice which will help ensure that the rest of the world lends an ear to the needs of the Caribbean.”

The meeting also addressed the need to push for legislations that govern mergers and acquisitions in the region.
