Global airline alliance SkyTeam has named a new CEO and chairman.
Perry Cantarutti has been named chief executive officer, while Michael Wisbrun takes over as chairman of the governing board.
The appointments were confirmed at a meeting of the alliance’s governing board.
Leo van Wijk recently retired, having served for eight years as chairman of the alliance.
“Perry brings with him a wealth of experience gained throughout 23 years in the aviation industry which, combined with his track record of forging successful airline partnerships and driving customer-focused results, will make him a dynamic leader of the SkyTeam alliance,” Wisbrun said.
Skyteam is composed of 20 global airline partners, many of whom fly to the Caribbean.
