By the Caribbean Journal staff

The Organization of American States has launched a new exhibition aimed at highlighting the poets of the Caribbean region.

“Poets of the Caribbean” opened this week at the headquarters of the OAS in Washington, DC.

The exhibition compiles photos of 62 poets, both English and Spanish-speaking, throughout the region.

The exposition is co-organized with the Art Museum of the Americas, and is being shown in the Marcus Garvey gallery at OAS headquarters.

The poets were photographed by poet-photographer Enrique Hernandez-D’Jesus.
