Barbados, Guyana Looking to Deepen Economic Ties

CARICOM members Barbados and Guyana are looking to deepen their relationship.
That was the view expressed during a recent meeting between Barbados Industry Minister Donville Inniss and Guyana Vice President Carl Greenidge at the Hilton Barbados.
Greenidge was on an official visit to Barbados to sign the Third Barbados Guyana Joint Commission.
A major topic on the agenda was industry, and Inniss said manufacturing, trading and services were major areas of potential collaboration.
Inniss said the “time had come to initiate serious dialogue about services in Guyana,” as more Barbadians “needed to be encouraged to start seeing Guyana as a place for investment.
