The Alexandra resort on Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos Islands has just added a new seaside restaurant, Asú on the Beach.

Asú means “sunset” in Taino, the language of the original inhabitants of the Turks and Caicos Islands, and serves Caribbean and international fare. The restaurant is run by executive chef Alexander Powell, whose resume includes training chefs for famed restaurateur Jean-Georges Vongerichten, and overseeing kitchens of five-star hotels.

Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Asú offers dining on the sand or in the newly renovated contemporary-styled dining room. Asú also has a private dining space and an open kitchen, where patrons can watch their meals being prepared.
