Trinidad and Grenada are planning to deepen their cooperation in the energy sector.

The two countries said they would be developing a memorandum of understanding in the sector.

Trinidad and Tobago Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley said he would be committing the technical support of his country, including key resources from energy firm PETROTRIN to help Grenada develop its energy sector.

The two Prime Ministers emphasized the importance of energy development and energy security to their respective country’s development, according to a government statement.

Grenada Prime Minister Dr Keith Mitchell said that he would move “speedily” to put a team in place to work with Trinidad to “explore all options with respect to energy cooperation and advancement.”
