St Barth hotel Le Sereno is announcing a new partnership with London restaurateur Guiliano Lotto.
Known for his contributions to the London culinary scene (The Arts Club, La Petite Maison, Il Barette, and more), Lotto is making his first endeavor in the Caribbean by bringing his skills and knowledge to Restaurant Sereno, opening October 28.
Lotto is also partnering with Sereno Properties on the restaurant at Il Sereno Lago di Como, set to open in the summer of 2016.
The updated restaurant will be helmed by Chef Alex Simone, who most recently served as Executive Chef of Il Baretto Restaurant, also owned by Lotto.
The new menu concept is a Mediterranean brasserie with an Italian influence, featuring fresh local ingredients and the bounty of the Caribbean Sea.
Simone’s menu will highlight the flavors of both cultures in dishes like Steak Tartare, Vitel Toné, Poisson en Croute de Sel (fish baked in salt-crust with Lake Como aromatic herbs) and Herb-Crusted Sea Scallops with Saffron, among others.
