Air Canada had a very strong September, according to the company’s latest data.
The Canadian carrier reported a systemwide capacity increase of 11.5 percent last month, along with a load factor of 83.6 percent.
That came with a 10.1 percent increase in systemwide traffic, the company said in its monthly traffic report.
“Air Canada generated greater traffic in all markets served led by the US transborder, Pacific and Atlantic markets,” said Calin Rovinescu, President and Chief Executive Officer at Air Canada.
In the Latin America and Caribbean market in particular, the carrier reported a 6.5 percent growth in Revenue Passenger Miles to 294 million, coupled with a 12.1 percent increase in available seat miles to 381 million.
Load factor fell in the region, however, with a reduction of 4.1 percent to 77.1 percent.
