American Airlines is adding service to a new destination in Mexico, the company announced.
Beginning March 3, 2016, the carrier will launch flights from Dallas/Fort Worth to Merida, its 21st destination in Mexico.
“The addition of Merida gives our customers 21 destinations in Mexico, and we’ll now operate nearly 120 daily flights between our two countries,” said Art Torno, senior vice president – International and Cargo. “American was the first international airline to fly to Mexico in 1942 and we’ve been one of the leading international carriers in the country ever since.”
The flights to the north of the Yucatan peninsula will operate five times weekly.
Service will depart Dallas at 12:30 PM, arriving in Merida at 2:50 PM, with the return flight leaving Merida’s Manuel Crescencio Rejon International Airport at 3:50 PM and arriving in Dallas at 6:20 PM.
