Spread on 2,000 acres that spans seven miles of Hispaniola’s northern coastline, the hotel will offer extensive dining, spa and recreational facilities, and 25 casitas designed to complement the lush natural setting and to “echo the warmth of the country itself.”

The Aman Spa will offer therapies that incorporate Aman’s chemical-free products and traditional shamanic healing techniques.

Amanera will also become the first “golf-integrated” Aman resort, its adjoining 7,085-yard, Robert Trent Jones-designed Playa Grande Golf Course boasting the highest number of ocean-side holes on any course in the Western Hemisphere.

This will be Aman’s 29th resort, and its second in the Caribbean.

It joins Amanyara, which opened on Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos Islands in 2006.
