This Caribbean Hotel Just Launched Its Own Beer

A new St Lucia beer

St Lucia’s Capella Marigot Bay Resort has teamed with chocolatier Cocao Carib and local beer company Antilia Brewing Company to launch its own beer: Capella’s Moon Bay Chocolate Stout.

The beer which is specifically brewed for the resort and its guests, incorporates a great proportion of freshly-roasted, local St Lucian cacao nibs in a complex ale that uses six different barley malts.

The stout has a deep brown look and a heavy taste of chocolate.

“To my knowledge, we are making history as this is the first collaboration between a brewery and an ultra-luxury destination resort in the West Indies and beyond,” said Andrew Hashey, CEO of Antillia.

The beer is available only in bottles (at $16 USD/liter bottle) and on tap at the resort and the property’s marina. It can also be found at the Antillia Brewery Taproom in St Lucia’s Rodney Bay.

“Antillia has created a world class beer for our resort and Capella Marina,” said Capella Food and Beverage Manager Glenn Sorensen. “This is a beer that puts us on the map for beer tourism. More importantly it adds another special and unique experience that only our guests can enjoy.”
