Closer to pact

Grenada and China are “pressing ahead with plans to formalize an air services agreement,” Grenada’s government said in a statement.
That was announced by Grenada Prime Minister Dr Keith Mitchell following his return from a trip to China, during which he met with a delegation led by Premier Li Keqiang.
Grenada would become the second country in the Caribbean to sign an air services agreement with China, following the Bahamas.
The deal approaches as a Chinese investor, Charles Liu, is planning a billion-dollar project in the Mt Hartman area in Grenada.
““If we can be able to have an air service agreement to get some form of transport from China to the Caribbean and to Grenada specifically, it can have enormous impact on the economy of our country,” Mitchell said.
