Stars in Cuba
By the Caribbean Journal staff
Cuba’s continuing to grow as a destination for music stars.
And the trend continued this week as a pair of high-profile artists visited the Caribbean island.
Following the recent trip to Cuba by Rihanna, R&B superstar Usher and rapper Ludacris made a visit to the island.
The purpose of the trip was in part to celebrate Ludacris’ birthday.
Usher, whose real name is Usher Raymond IV, dedicated part of the trip to meeting with local musicians, including Havana Compas Dance.
The trip also included stops around Havana like the H Uppman factory and the Partagas factory.
“There’s no place I’d rather be than in Cuba with all of you right now,” Ludacris told well-wishers in a video posted to Usher’s Instagram.
