A New Way to Fly to Antigua

Seaborne Airlines has announced the planned launch of nonstop service between its hub in San Juan’s Luis Munoz Marin International Airport and Antigua and Barbuda’s newly-inaugurated VC Bird International Airport.

The service, which will launch December 13, will represent the only nonstop connection between the two destinations.

“We are excited to make Antigua the 17th airport served by Seaborne Airlines in the Caribbean, ” said Seaborne CEO Gary Foss, “I expect visitors and residents of Antigua and Barbuda alike to appreciate Seaborne’s award-winning customer service, commitment to low fares, and connectivity to our airline partners.”

Ingrid I. Rivera Rocafort, Executive Director of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company also praised the new route.

“Puerto Rico continues to shine as a first-rate destination,” she said. “Our alliance with Seaborne continues to strengthen the connections between Caribbean destinations and our position as the leading air access hub of the region.”

The flights will depart four times a week – on Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays – and will operate on a 34-seat Saab 340 aircraft.
