The Hyatt Regency Trinidad is adding a little extra tech to its check-in process.

It’s part of what the downtown Port of Spain hotel says are several new technological developments that will provide guests with greater ease and convenience during their stay.

The first is Hyatt iPad solution, in which check-in service is brought directly to the guest, and allows the staff to easily search reservations, send “room ready” notifications, make room keys, and provide digital receipts.

The Hyatt is also using a Hotel Service Optimization System (HotSOS), through which the housekeeping, engineering, and front office departments can access guest-specific requests right on the spot.

Finally, the hotel is using RED, a room expeditor that optimizes the order in which rooms are assigned to attendants, factoring in special requests for important rooms to clean.
