Zouk Superstars to Headline Dominica’s World Creole Music Festival

19th edition of festival begins Oct. 30

Dominica’s World Creole Music Festival, now in its 19th year, is still going strong.

And this year’s lineup of music stars is no exception, headlined by a group of zouk stars called Le Grand Mechant Zouk, which includes several players from Kassav and Zouk Machine.

The three-night festival will also include Dominica’s Lady of Song Ophelia, Haitian Kompa acts T-Micky and Kreyol La and the first-time appearance of local act Original Bouyon Pioneers, among others.

Reggae music will also be represented, with stars like Chronixx, Fadda Fox and others.

OVerall, there will be 20 main stage acts, according to the organizers, the Discover Dominica Authority.
