Ever want to bike on water? Now you can.

It’s the first partnership of its kind: St Lucia’s Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort has partnered with Schiller Bikes to offer their new S1 — a hybrid of a premium bike and a catamaran.

Guests at the property can now use a special carbon-fiber version of the S1 that is safe and stable in open water, according to the resort.

“We’re delighted to be the first hotel in the world to offer these innovative bikes,,” said Andre Boersma, General Manager of Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort. “We strive to offer the best guest experiences, and the new bikes will allow our guests to explore Anse des Pitons and the Caribbean sea in an unprecedented way; We invite them to try the Schiller Bike experience here first, in our beautiful setting between the Pitons.”

The bikes launched at the resort on July 1, and now the property is even offering on-the-water spin classes.

The bikes are the brainchild of Judah Schiller, who became the first person to bike across the Hudson River in 2013.
