Exploring the best Caribbean all inclusive resorts for solo and single travelers

More Caribbean travelers than ever are choosing to fly solo, but single status is no barrier to the value and convenience that staying at an all-inclusive resort can offer. Whether you’re yearning for a holiday romance; like to hang out with other singletons; or simply want to enjoy your own company without feeling conspicuous, here are the all-inclusives we recommend for single and solo travelers.
Club Med Turkoise, Turks and Caicos Islands
On Providenciales, this adults only all-inclusive is the perfect beachfront playground for active types, who can spend their days polishing their flying trapeze skills, snorkeling and diving. Laidback types will be just as happy with a strawberry daiquiri (or three) at Sharkie’s Bar.
Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
When a resort’s this big (1,779 rooms), has so many amenities (including 23 bars, 13 pools, nine restaurants), and you’re sharing them with thousands of other guests, there’s no need to worry about standing out as a singleton. In fact, you’re practically guaranteed to meet other solo flyers to double (or triple!) your fun in the Dominican Republic. Get Prices.
Breathless Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
If you’re the party-hearty type, this is your place. Seems like every day at this 750-suite beachfront adults-only is a celebration: Earth Day, The Superbowl, St. Patrick’s Day, you name it … they’re all marked with international DJs, dancing and clouds of foam. Get Prices Here.
Bolongo Bay Beach Resort, US Virgin Islands
This intimate family-run hotel on St Thomas is a big hit with families but don’t let that put you off because there’s plenty of adult fun to be enjoyed. Paddleboarding and sailing are a must at this beachfront, but the weekly snorkel booze hunt and sipping Cruzan at Iggies Bar top our list. Click here to book.
The BodyHoliday, St Lucia
If it’s R&R you need, then you need to be at this St. Lucia resort where you can bask on the beach or busy yourself with a plethora of complimentary activities including fencing and archery. A daily spa treatment (included) is the icing on the cake.
Hard Rock Hotel Cancun, Mexico
Of course you can vacay like a rock star at this music-themed resort, partying until the wee hours at seven bars. But we’d spend most of our time in the Rock Spa, where a muscle-melting Ocean Breeze massage sounds like just the ticket.
The Caves, Jamaica
If you consider yourself hip, Bohemian, creative or all three – and you prefer a boutique all-inclusive – check out this cliif’s-edge property in Negril that combines Caribbean-cool with a chilled-out, flip-flop-friendly vibe.
Mango Bay, Barbados
One of only a handful of all-inclusives on the pricey isle, this resort is a solid choice for solo travelers who appreciate a small hotel (76 rooms) that offers big value (rates start at $440 per night for single occupancy – a bargain in Bajan terms!).
Riu Palace St Martin
Vacay the French way at this Anse Marcel resort where the emphasis is on total relaxation rather than forced participation, and the food is “magnifique.”
Hedonism II, Jamaica
Be naughty (or nice) at this classic Negril resort where your week can be wild (toga parties, late-night skinny dipping in the pool) or mild (“prude” beach and specialty dining). Only the mirror mounted on the ceiling over your bed will know.
