Sunwing Adding Another Cuba Flight

Sunwing Vacations has announced the addition of a new direct flight from Sudbury, Ontario to Cayo Santa Maria, Cuba beginning on Dec. 24.

The weekly Thursday flight will operate from December 24, 2015 to March 24, 2016.

“We are delighted to return to Sudbury for another season. Our sunshine flights have proved extremely popular here over the last 9 years and we have no doubt that Cayo Santa Maria will be well received this coming season,” said Andrew Dawson, President of Tour Operations for Sunwing Vacations. “Along with some of Cuba’s best beaches, the destination also stands out for its excellent accommodation choices. We’re certain that the new route will become a firm favorite amongst vacationers this coming winter.”

On their way to the popular Cuban destination, passengers can enjoy a glass of sparkling wine, complimentary Hot & Fresh Bistro Meals and free checked baggage up to 20 kg, among other amenities.

“We are delighted that Sunwing is bringing this destination right to the doorstep of Sudburians,” said Shirley de Silva, Director of Business Development at the Greater Sudbury Airport. “In addition to residents from the Greater Sudbury region, residents from the surrounding areas will also benefit from this option.”
