Suzuki del Caribe is establishing Puerto Rico as its link for distribution of marine motors in the region.

Operations will be conducted out of the Suzuki Foreign Trade Zone in Sabana Gardens Industrial Park in Carolina, the only distributor of auto and marine motor parts in Puerto Rico.

In addition to Puerto Rico, Suzuki distributes its marine motors throughout the US Virgin Islands, the British Virgin Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, Barbados, Antigua, St Maarten and Bonaire.

“Our goal is to reach 21 countries in the Caribbean and South America, said Erving Rosario, sales and marketing manager for Suzuki del Caribe. “There is great potential in the Caribbean region for marine motors due to the large amount of nautical business that depends on our product.”

The company is projecting to finish with approximately $3.5 million in sales of marine products this year, including the profits from exports to the territories it already serves in the region.

It also anticipates an additional $5.5 million from sales of motor parts in Puerto Rico, and $1 million in sales at their new auto-paint store Del Caribe Colors.

Suzuki del Caribe is also partnering with Mech-Tech to offer product training workshops to mechanics throughout Puerto Rico and Caribbean.
