Catch a fish and stay for free at Deep Water Cay private-island resort in the Bahamas, where in July or August guests will earn a free night for every bonefish they catch that weighs 10 pounds or more.

There’s no limit to the number of free nights guests may earn, and if any fish caught is larger than the world record weight of 16 pounds, the lucky angler will win a three-night trip for two, including all meals and fishing.

“July and August may not be typical months for bonefishing,” notes general manager Buzz Cox, “but the big fish haven’t gone anywhere, as proven by the record-breaker caught a few weeks ago.  In fact, with limited pressure on bonefish this time of year from fewer anglers on the flats, they are primed for the taking.”

Deep Water Cay is a private island located off the coast of Grand Bahama.
